Skies may be gray, skies may be blue, either way your pencil is waiting and I am too.

I am an artist and surface pattern designer based in the Pacific Northwest who loves to create unique, pretty, and sometimes quite quirky designs for textiles and other products.

I have been an artist from the time I held a crayon. Our family dining room table was permanently covered with paint and glitter from years of my art, as well as my parents' walls, I view it as a precursor to wallpaper, apparently,  they didn't agree.

As a preteen I learned how to work with Adobe Photoshop and as time went on, I learned how to use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign from my studies as an Undergraduate in Graphic Design from the Penn Foster Online College based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

After studying graphic design, I was trying to figure out what to do next. As I was already sewing, I had already heard about Spoonflower, so I decided to give surface pattern design a try and Jaguar Island Designs was born. 

In the years since Jaguar Island Designs has started, I have uploaded over 500 designs.

When I am not working on unique designs, I enjoy sewing, cross stitching, floral design, baking, cake decorating, camping, going to pet stores, zoos, aquariums and visiting national and state parks.
